We are a family owned and operated establishment. Owner Brad still remembers the first time his youngest daughter tasted this style of pizza. She said “OMG, Best Pizza ever!” This is a memory he will never forget.
Brad, his youngest daughter Katy Holman and Son-in-law John Holman came together with a vision of providing the Des Moines area a unique style of pizza made famous in the Quad Cities.
What makes us unique: Our name “Hometown” - Since Brad and Katy are originally from the Quad City area we thought this was appropriate. John is a West Des Moines native so in a sense we are bringing both our “hometowns” together to share this tasty style of pizza.
Our dough is hand rolled in our kitchen and we allow it to rest for 3 days before using it. Our crust is the best, light, crispy, and slightly sweet! Our sausage has a special family blend of spices and seasonings before being finely ground. Our homemade sauce has a unique flavor with a kick.
We have an open show kitchen where you can watch your pizza being made starting as a ball of fresh dough. We then hand stretch and add our homemade sauce. After topping your pizza with the fresh ingredients of your choosing we add a heaping amount of mozzarella cheese and place into our steaming hot rotary oven. We use razor sharp shears to cut your pizza into strips then we serve... and get to see you smile.
